I am a 25-year-old, introverted yet people-loving redhead that enjoys a good challenge. I've called Grand Rapids, MI home for almost eight years now, and I absolutely love it. It's great being close to the lakeshore and close to downtown - there's always fun times to be had! My husband Daniel and I have been blessed with a beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood - not to mention awesome neighbors! We'll be celebrating our five-year anniversary on June 25 - God is so good!
I've worked as an administrative assistant for the Christian Reformed Church in North America for nearly two years now, and it is a blessing to say that I truly love my job. I'm part of two programs that award grants and host learning events for pastors, pastor spouses, and smaller congregations. It's incredibly stressful and exhausting at times, but I've grown to love event planning (I plan 10-12 events per year across the US and Canada!) and Lord-willing it would be great to do it professionally in the future!
I enjoy traveling, shopping, coffee with girlfriends, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. While I cannot compare to the literally hundreds of interests and hobbies that consume my husband's time, I'm happy to say I'm an accomplished coupon-cutter, shower-singer, turtle-raiser, bill-payer, ghetto-dancer, movie-watcher, email-typer, gift-giver, and people-lover.
I readily admit to the anxiety that stems from my OCDs and incessant need to keep everything in life "clean and tidy." But God is showing me that I'm meant for so much more than being a perfectionist. I'm at a point in life where things have been good - comfortable even - but I'm ready for more...more of God, more of life, and more of being the woman He has called me to be.
